Nettenergy launches campaign for Orange Hydrogen @ Chemical Recycling Summit

November 2022

The hydrogen produced from biomass using our PyroGasifier and Syn2H technology not only provides an alternative route for hydrogen production but also stores CO2 through the co-production of biochar. Green Hydrogen produced using solar/wind in combination with electrolyzers only prevents fossil CO2 to enter the atmosphere but does not have an answer to reducing the CO2 from the atmosphere itself. Consequently the term “Green” does not reflect our solution and we have opted for the term “Orange” as our technology is 100%  of Dutch origin. This term will also be used for our electricity production.

Grand opening of GH2 pilot project

October 2022

On October 11th, 2022 the mayor of city Alphen aan den Rijn – Mrs. Liesbeth Spies – officially opened the pilot of the GH2 project (Groene Hart Waterstof). The collaboration of Nettenergy, the Vermeulen Group, and Delphy is part of an innovation program and has been made possible by a grant from Holland Rijnland.

Almost 5% of The Netherlands’ land is occupied by grass alongside roads and canals. This is almost the size of the province of Utrecht. Normally this grass is sent to composting facilities resulting in CO2 and methane emissions. For a more sustainable solution, the GH2 project emerged.

NettOil receives first order for PyroFlash Study

September 2022

NettOil, a sister company of Nettenergy, receives its first order from our Australian partner Pyrotech Energy to execute a study with the PyroFlash pilot installation to determine the yield of biochar, pyrolysis oil, wood vinegar, and syngas for a selected feedstock by an Australian customer.

NettOil receives first order for PyroFlash Installation

May 2022

NettOil, a sister company of Nettenergy, receives its first order from an American customer to deliver a 2 MTPD PyroFlash installation including a gas generator and feeding system. This installation will be shipped to the USA in Q1 2023.

Nettenergy’s R&D program extended to Super Critical Water gasification

April 2022

Nettenergy has extended its pilot facilities with a Super Critical Water gasification unit based on our own PyroFine-L technology. In this facility, hydrocarbons are processed with the ultimate aim to produce hydrogen and methane. A number of hydrocarbons have already been tested and the production of hydrogen and methane has been confirmed.

Nettenergy starts biomass based hydrogen pilot

February 2022

Nettenergy together with the Vermeulen Groep and Delphy have lauched the “Groene Hart Waterstof”pilot. In this pilot grass collected by the Vermeulen Group is converted into hydrogen using Nettenergy’s PyroGasifier and SYN2H technology. Biochar is co-produced and is being tested by Delphy for soil application and peat replacement.

Nettenergy and The Crown Chemicals launch PyroMethane project

March 2022

In this project, Nettenergy’s PyroFine technology is used to produce turquoise hydrogen as well as premium char. The Crown Chemicals will explore the applications of this char.
